Irving Pulp and Paper, a Canadian kraft pulp producer, sought to ensure the correct maintenance of their 25-year-old twin roll presses to support their 24/7 operation and keep on top of their equipment's lifecycle. To challenge their knowledge, they turned to Valmet for specialized training.

Valmet provided a three-day TwinRoll Press Maintenance School, which combined classroom education on equipment design and maintenance with a hands-on shop floor tour. This solution from Valmet allowed the customer's personnel to problem-solve with industry peers, gain new preventive maintenance tips, and become convinced their older equipment was still maintainable. The training exceeded all expectations and was described as "the best training ever."
