Fibre Excellence SAS Provence boosts press section output with Valmet in a €180 million modernization

Fibre Excellence SAS Provence, a pulp mill in France, initiated a modernization plan to debottleneck its pulp dryer and upgrade the plant to the highest industrial and environmental standards. The mill partnered with Valmet for a press section rebuild to address this challenge, which included the supply of new equipment like the Valmet Pressurized Felt Conditioning System.

Valmet's solution successfully increased dryness out of the press section and improved machine runnability, eliminating the production bottleneck. The project was completed on schedule, and the new press section is prepared for future capacity increases. The Valmet Pressurized Felt Conditioning System also provided significant sustainability benefits, reducing electrical power consumption by up to 50 percent and achieving 100 percent savings in water consumption compared to conventional systems.
