Eldorado Brasil boosts recovery boiler performance with Valmet for a 15-month washing-free campaign

Eldorado Brasil, one of the world's largest pulp mills, sought to optimize the production capacity and chemical recovery of its recovery boiler. To address this challenge, the company entered into a Performance Agreement with Valmet that included Valmet Industrial Internet (VII) applications and expert support.

The solution implemented by Valmet combined advanced process controls for sootblowing and combustion optimization with remote support from its Performance Center. This resulted in a highly successful 15-month boiler campaign with no washing stops, significant steam savings, and improved production stability. Valmet's approach also enhanced overall performance, including better emission control.
