CMPC, a pulp mill in Brazil, sought innovative and lasting solutions to improve its production processes and enhance its sustainability and efficiency. To meet this challenge, they partnered with technology vendor Valmet to implement Advanced Process Controls.

Valmet provided its Advanced Recaustic Control application and technical support from its Performance Center platform. This solution reduced the dead load in the recausticizing process by 34%, achieving a historic mark for the factory. The process efficiency was maintained at an optimal level with low standard deviation, leading to better resource utilization and meeting strategic sustainability goals.
