CMPC Guaíba improves pulp sheet classification with Valmet Dirt Count Analyzer

The customer, CMPC Guaíba, faced a challenge in accurately measuring a specific type of dirt known as Yellow Shives in its pulp production process. This lack of measurement made it difficult to use the data for performance indicators and decision-making. To address this, they worked with vendor Valmet and utilized the Valmet Dirt Count Analyzer.

Valmet implemented its Dirt Count Analyzer, which uses high-resolution cameras and blue light application to provide the necessary contrast to measure the majority of Yellow Shives. The solution resulted in an easier classification of pulp sheets and provided a greater volume of data. This data is now directly used by the mill in its decision-making process.
