Bohui Paper boosts winder capacity to 600 thousand tons with Valmet

Bohui Paper's Shandong mill in China faced a production bottleneck. Its existing winder lacked the flexibility and capacity needed to meet higher production targets and to add digital printing paper to its product portfolio. To overcome this, the mill turned to Valmet for an upgrade solution.

Valmet implemented an automated slitter upgrade for the winder, which increased the number of slitter pairs and enabled fast, precise automatic positioning. This solution was delivered with minimal downtime. The upgrade from Valmet significantly improved overall winder performance, increased production capacity, and successfully enabled the mill to begin producing digital printing paper.
