Arauco restores pulp dryer to 75% capacity and completes rebuild in 120 days with Valmet

Arauco's Valdivia Mill faced a significant challenge when an incident damaged its pulp dryer, halting production entirely. The mill contacted Valmet for technical support and repairs to restore operations as quickly as possible.

Valmet implemented a unique two-phase solution, first creating a bypass to restore production at 75% capacity and then manufacturing and installing thousands of new components. This project, one of the largest dryer rebuilds ever performed, was completed safely and within deadlines. Valmet successfully restored the dryer to its original capacity and equipped it with state-of-the-art technology, reestablishing full production for the customer.
