International Moon Lander Company used Valispace, now part of Altium’s Requirements Portal, to address the challenge of coordinating engineering work across dispersed teams. Their systems engineering team needed a better way to collaborate on complex projects when resources were spread across multiple buildings, sites, countries, and continents, and when remote access through VPNs and file servers was slow and inefficient.

Valispace provided real-time updates, notifications, access control for team members and external collaborators, and a shared environment for requirements management and parametric integration in MATLAB-based system design models. According to the customer, Valispace had a radical impact on their design approach, improving collaboration, strengthening configuration control, enabling rapid prototyping, and helping projects mature more quickly, while also reducing IT infrastructure costs and supporting remote teams worldwide.
