The customer, IAI, faced challenges in their process of cutting cords to variable lengths. They were using inefficient air cylinders that required manual stopper adjustments for each product changeover, costing significant time and leading to inaccurate cuts that needed constant inspection. They worked with Valin Corporation to find a better solution using an ROBO Cylinder.

Valin Corporation implemented a motorized feed process using an RCP5-RA6C ROBO Cylinder. This allowed adjustments to be made via a touch panel, eliminating manual changeovers and improving cutting accuracy. The results for IAI included increasing production from 7 to 8 hours per day, reducing labor costs, and achieving significant savings on electricity costs.
