a large mining operation cuts fuel contamination to under 100 PPM with Valin Corporation

A large mining operation was facing increased expenses and downtime because its off-road trucks were frequently shutting down due to clogged fuel filters. This was caused by contaminated fuel that did not meet the new emission standards for its equipment. To reduce these costs, the mining operation engaged Valin Corporation to develop a solution for providing ultra-clean and dry fuel.

Valin implemented a robust, multi-stage filtration system. The solution included a five-micron filter for fuel delivered into storage tanks and a base unit with a two-micron pre-filter and a two-micron coalescing filter/water separator for fuel transferred to the trucks. This system provided automatic water drainage and clog protection. As a result of Valin's total fuel filtration solution, the mining operation significantly decreased maintenance costs and equipment downtime, maximizing operational up-time.
