OfferFit, an automated experimentation platform for marketers, faced challenges ensuring data quality at scale using the manual and slow open-source framework Great Expectations. The process was too fiddly to set up and took over two hours to validate datasets, which created risks for their machine learning-based recommendations. To address this, they turned to the data quality platform from Validio.
By implementing Validio, OfferFit automated validation for hundreds of millions of records, cutting the processing time from over two hours to under a minute. The solution de-risked their data product by instantly identifying bad data and enabled data quality ownership by automatically alerting the responsible teams. Validio's API also allowed OfferFit to directly expose these data quality insights within their own product for their customers.
