Validic digital-health platform enables MEDITECH clients to leverage data to improve clinical care

MEDITECH, a longtime EHR vendor, set out to bring a consumer-level interface and patient-generated health data into its platform to improve clinical outcomes and enable remote care. Facing the technical challenge of aggregating disparate data from thousands of devices—where one-to-one connectivity was unsustainable—MEDITECH selected Validic’s digital-health platform to provide a one-to-many solution for integrating mobile devices, wearables and home monitors into the EHR.

Using Validic, MEDITECH now ingests standardized, normalized data from 200+ connected devices and apps directly into clinicians’ workflows, making weight, blood pressure, HbA1c and other patient-generated metrics actionable in the EHR. The Validic integration simplified connectivity for MEDITECH’s customers, supported remote monitoring to help prevent readmissions and hospital-acquired conditions, and increased care efficiency and cost-effectiveness across MEDITECH’s installed base.
