Bank of Singapore, the private banking arm of OCBC Bank, faced a challenge in its DevOps journey due to a lack of fully automated testing for its Temenos Core Banking and WealthSuite solutions. The bank was relying on manual efforts with HP’s QTP and Microsoft TFS, which increased costs and prevented a complete move to continuous delivery. They issued an RFP seeking an integrated automation test solution to address this.

Validata Software was selected after a successful pilot exercise. The vendor implemented its Validata Quality and Release Automation Suites to automate end-to-end testing across desktop, browser, mobile, and the Temenos stack. This solution delivered a 90% automation coverage rate and an 80% reduction in testing effort per cycle. Bank of Singapore now has a regression pack of 1400 test cases for continuous monitoring, ensuring core functionality is always checked.
