Transforming QBE’s Application Lifecycle Management with Jira Software and Confluence

QBE, a global insurance provider headquartered in Sydney, needed a better way to manage outsourced release and application development work across multiple projects. Using Excel spreadsheets left teams with limited visibility, poor transparency, and little ability to track work or react quickly to issues, so QBE turned to Valiantys and Atlassian tools including Jira Software and Confluence.

Valiantys implemented Jira Software and Confluence around the SAFe methodology, integrating Tempo apps, EazyBI, and Exocet to improve time tracking, resource planning, cost management, reporting, and collaborative task handling. The result was a standardized “single source of truth” that improved transparency, efficiency, contractor management, and speed to market, and the rollout scaled across major QBE markets with measurable adoption including 256 projects, 139,903 issues, 1,562 users, and 51 Confluence spaces.
