The cosmetics manufacturer Chanel sought to upgrade its manufacturing facility to improve efficiency and eliminate labor-intensive, error-prone paper-based data collection and batch production processes. To achieve this, they selected Valdata Systems and implemented their Manufacturing Execution System (MES) called Dispense Master.

Valdata Systems implemented a fully paperless, computerized solution that automated the weighing and batching process. The Dispense Master system used touch-screen workstations, bar code scanners, and direct scale interfaces to guide operators, verify materials, and collect data in real-time. This integration with Chanel's MRP system streamlined operations and created a validated audit trail. As a result, Chanel saw a 20-30 percent increase in operational efficiencies and achieved extremely high levels of data accuracy.
