To address this, SGL Carbon partnered with vendor valantic to implement a solution using the valantic MDC Master Data Cockpit for SAP master data management.

Valantic implemented a globally harmonized SAP master data management system, establishing uniform rules, roles, and workflow-based processes. The solution automated material creation and standardised data entry, managed centrally through the MDC Master Data Cockpit. This resulted in significant efficiency, time, and cost improvements for SGL Carbon, along with a sharp reduction in error rates and manual input errors, enabling global accountability and better process governance.
