mobilezone GmbH, a German telecommunications company, faced the challenge of homogenizing and centralizing its highly heterogeneous IT landscape, which resulted from various mergers and acquisitions. To secure future growth, the company decided to migrate its infrastructure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and enlisted valantic for support.

valantic provided support through the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), dividing the project into three phases: Assess, Mobilize, and Migrate & Modernize. They established a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), implemented a secure landing zone using AWS Control Tower, and defined standards for provisioning resources like Kubernetes clusters. The results included a scalable, high-performance infrastructure environment, successfully migrated applications, and the ability to provision new resources quickly, which relieved the operations teams and created space for further optimization.
