Ivoclar, a global manufacturer of dental materials, faced the challenge of unifying its content, commerce, and community functions across 36 geographically local websites and a manual e-learning portal. This created significant administrative effort and a disjointed customer experience. Ivoclar commissioned vendor valantic to design and develop a central digital platform to address these issues.
valantic implemented a solution using Pimcore as a central CMS and integrated the existing SAP Commerce Cloud for e-commerce. The new platform automated processes for Ivoclar's Customer Academy, including course booking and certification, and provided a single sign-on for customers via SAP Customer Data Cloud. The result was a significant reduction in administrative work, freeing up valuable capacity for sales and customer service, and a greatly improved, unified customer experience.
