A story of innovation through learning at the City of Joensuu Employment Services

City of Joensuu Employment Services needed a modern way to support diverse clients during the pandemic, when unemployment pressures put the Luotsi project’s goals at risk. The team also needed an alternative to its previous eLearning platform and a way to help clients who could not always be supported through one-on-one coaching.

Valamis provided the Valamis Learning Management System (LMS), which let the team create tailored learning paths for CV composition, interview preparation, LinkedIn coaching, and entrepreneurship guidance. The City of Joensuu said the project halved unemployment in Joensuu, and the new self-paced approach helped clients learn independently while making coaching sessions more efficient.
