The City and Urban Community of Dunkirk Enhances Microsoft 365 Email Security With Vade Secure for Microsoft 365

The City and Urban Community of Dunkirk, which suffered a 2015 ransomware incident that caused five days of downtime, needed stronger, cloud-native email protection as it migrated to Microsoft 365. To address targeted phishing and advanced threats, Dunkirk selected Vade Secure and deployed Vade for M365 to replace its previous, less-responsive provider.

Vade Secure implemented Vade for M365 (no MX change, native Microsoft 365 integration) with full features—spam filtering, real-time URL analysis, graymail classification and spear-phishing warnings—enabling a largely autonomous, set‑and‑forget solution. In the first month Vade detected nearly 600 phishing emails and six malware attacks, and in March 2020 blocked 6 malware, 6,285 spam, 558 phishing and 441 spear‑phishing attempts; administrators now spend about five minutes a day on email security, delivering clear operational and financial savings.
