NIFCLOUD, a Japanese public cloud service with more than 7,000 customers, faced rising volumes of sophisticated spam that bypassed its signature-based filters and drove up customer inquiries. To strengthen email security and improve support, NIFCLOUD turned to Vade Secure, deploying Vade Secure’s heuristic email filtering for its NIFCLOUD Business Mail service.

Deployed in May 2018, Vade Secure’s filter—configurable by department risk tolerance—raised detection rates by 1.5× and drastically reduced customer inquiries within a year. NIFCLOUD also gained faster, Japan-language support and clearer diagnostic information from Vade Secure, improving incident response and overall email security while remaining cost-competitive versus alternatives.
