ASL Airlines France Enhances Email Defense Against Ransomware With Vade Secure Berton Distillery

ASL Airlines France, the IT hub for the ASL Airlines Group managing roughly 2,500 centrally hosted mailboxes, faced rapidly evolving ransomware threats that outpaced traditional controls like Office 365 and backup policies. To strengthen email defenses during an ongoing cloud migration, ASL Airlines France selected Vade Secure and its Vade Secure Cloud solution to address sophisticated, polymorphic email-based attacks.

Vade Secure deployed its AI-driven, behavior- and context-based email filter (POC completed in June 2017) with rapid configuration in a few hours; the system analyzes sender legitimacy, content and URLs and auto-quarantines anomalies for analyst review. The Vade Secure solution blocked 500 NoPetya-infected emails in under an hour and stopped 100% of NoPetya infections in real time during the POC, delivering higher accuracy, continuous threat prediction, reduced business-interruption risk and improved operational visibility through daily reports.
