The University of Bath needed to improve purchase-to-pay efficiency, gain greater visibility of supplier payments and ensure invoices were paid within agreed terms. To address this it engaged V1 Limited and deployed V1’s DbCapture, tightly integrated with UNIT4’s Agresso Business World, to handle around 60,000 supplier invoices a year.

V1 Limited’s DbCapture uses OCR to capture invoice data, highlight discrepancies and upload information directly into Agresso, cutting manual data entry and duplicate work. The solution has freed AP staff, delivered approximately £25,000 in annual savings, sped up processing of 60,000 invoices per year and reduced the number of days to pay suppliers by 15%, improving payment performance and supplier relationships.
