Newham College, a further education institution with seven sites across 15 learning centres, faced slow, paper-heavy purchase-to-pay workflows that wasted time and money by manually filing and circulating invoices. To modernise its finance function, Newham College engaged V1 Limited to implement its document imaging and automated invoice processing suite — DbArchive, DbCapture and the new DbCapture PDF module.

V1 Limited integrated these solutions with the college’s Symmetry Financials system so paper invoices are imaged, OCR-captured and verified, PDF invoices imported from email, and invoices routed to approvers via automated workflow links. The deployment cut invoice approval times, reduced paper use and storage needs, eliminated third‑party archiving costs, and reduced manual data entry by up to 50%, delivering clear cost savings and environmental benefits.
