Hillhouse Quarry, part of The Hillhouse Group and a leading UK producer of crushed aggregate, ready-mixed concrete and coated materials, struggled with slowed customer payments during the economic downturn because it could not quickly produce signed proof-of-delivery (POD) notes. To solve this, Hillhouse Quarry implemented V1 Limited’s electronic document imaging system tightly integrated into its Access Dimensions accounting system.

V1 Limited’s solution now scans and tags up to 6,000 PODs per month to Access Dimensions, letting authorised staff instantly view or email imaged PODs via desktop or web and resolve queries within minutes. The result: faster billing and collections, improved cash flow, reduced physical storage and better customer service; Hillhouse Quarry is also exploring V1 Limited’s DbCapture OCR to cut invoice data entry by up to 90%.
