Dawnus, a leading construction company in Wales, faced slow, paper‑heavy purchase-to-pay processes and growing document storage problems that hindered invoice approval and contract documentation retrieval. To address this, Dawnus selected V1 Limited’s document imaging and data capture software — including OCR — to be tightly integrated with its Advanced Business Solutions financial system and rolled out to over 120 authorised users across 40 sites.

V1 Limited implemented a centrally scanned, tagged and electronically stored invoicing workflow with OCR that auto-captures invoice data and integrates with Advanced Business Solutions and its eBIS procurement module so approvers can view and approve invoices from their PCs. The deployment is expected to cut manual data entry by approximately 75%, speed invoice approvals, free up physical storage, reduce errors and enable accounts staff to focus on more value‑adding work.
