College Speeds-up Purchase-to-Pay by Ten Minutes per Invoice Using V1 Integrated into Symmetry

North Warwickshire & Hinckley College faced slow, error-prone purchase-to-pay processes handling around 15,000 paper purchase invoices a year, requiring manual logging, photocopying and two authoriser signatures. To tackle this, the college selected V1 Limited and its document imaging software, tightly integrated with the college’s Symmetry Financials accounting system, to move toward a paperless, more efficient workflow.

V1 Limited implemented barcode labelling, invoice imaging and automatic linking to Symmetry, with Symmetry Financials’ workflow emailing approvers and enabling on‑screen approvals, rejections or queries. As a result, the college now processes each invoice about ten minutes faster on average, freeing finance staff for higher‑value tasks, cutting paper/postage and storage needs, and supporting its environmental goals.
