The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) faced inefficient, manual processing of purchase invoices and levy return forms — around ten staff were re‑keying data from over 5,000 suppliers — while upgrading its Agresso ERP. To address this, AHDB selected V1 Limited and its DbCapture intelligent data capture solution to reduce manual effort and speed document processing.

V1 Limited implemented DbCapture with OCR integrated into Agresso 5.5 to automatically capture, verify and upload invoice and levy form data, flagging discrepancies for user review. The solution is expected to cut manual data entry by up to 80%, process some 60,000 documents a year (including 10,000 levy forms), and deliver cost savings of over £50,000 per annum while freeing the equivalent of one employee for higher‑value work.
