Samsonite, the global leader in travel bags and luggage, needed accurate, granular traffic and conversion data across its many branded locations to evaluate whether rent costs were justified and to inform store-level strategy. To solve this, Samsonite partnered with V-Count in 2018 and deployed V-Count’s 3D Alpha+ people-counting devices and analytics across its estate.

V-Count implemented 3D Alpha+ sensors in 150+ Samsonite stores and fed footfall, peak-hour, draw-in and conversion metrics into the V-Count Business Intelligence Platform. These insights gave Samsonite a clearer picture of store performance versus rent, enabled redeployment of resources to higher-opportunity locations, and delivered faster, measurable improvements in conversion visibility and business decision-making.
