Jersey Strong, one of the top 30 health clubs in the United States, faced heightened member concerns about hygiene and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic and wanted to build the most comprehensive safety protocol in the fitness industry. To monitor and enforce state occupancy limits and reassure members, Jersey Strong turned to V-Count and its real-time occupancy solution, VCare.

V-Count implemented VCare across 12 Jersey Strong locations, deploying automated occupancy counters and traffic-flow technology and exposing live counts via an API to the club’s Apple and Android apps and front-desk message boards. This solution allowed Jersey Strong to keep a continuous, accurate people count, effectively enforce state occupancy guidelines, and give members real-time visibility into club activity levels before arriving.
