Celcom, Malaysia’s leading telecom provider with 9.1 million subscribers, struggled with inaccurate in-store visitor counts from a legacy system that misread objects, shadows and lights—undermining conversion-rate calculations and sales KPIs. To get reliable, GDPR-compliant traffic data for better conversion analysis and staffing decisions, Celcom turned to V-Count’s People Counting and visitor analytics solution.
V-Count supplied accurate people-counting sensors, an intuitive dashboard, API integration and responsive support, allowing Celcom to compare promotional vs. non-promotional traffic, track daily/weekly patterns, and align staff to peak times. The result was improved operational efficiency and increased sales—Celcom used V-Count data to identify, for example, that Wednesdays at BC Tmn Molek Johor were 18–20% lower than other days and reallocated resources to boost performance.
