A UXReactor Case Study
Arlo Technologies, a leader in smart home IoT security products, faced significant risk with the launch of a new product line featuring a new installation experience. The company lacked visibility into potential obstacles, specifically concerned about whether the onboarding process was intuitive enough for self-service installation. To mitigate these product adoption risks, Arlo engaged UXReactor.
UXReactor conducted a contextual inquiry study to observe real users during the unboxing and installation process. This research identified nine key issues, allowing Arlo to implement immediate design interventions prior to launch. The project delivered a 7x return on investment for Arlo Technologies by reducing potential support calls and post-launch rework costs, effectively de-risking the product launch.
