Sumo Logic Brings the Power of UX to Enterprise-Scale Data

Sumo Logic, a cloud-native machine-data analytics company founded in 2010 and processing more than four petabytes for leading brands, set out in 2015 to deliver a consumer-grade user experience at enterprise scale. To do that it built its first UX organization under a new VP of User Experience and Design Director Daniel Castro, and faced the challenge of creating a design-oriented culture and replacing a slow, siloed review workflow (Axure + static PDFs) that hindered cross-functional collaboration.

Castro introduced UXPin to enable live, shareable prototypes, pixel-level commenting and contextual feedback between design, engineering and product. The change cut review cycles to one-third the time, halved the effort needed to gain stakeholder approval, and helped embed a collaborative, design-first mindset across the company.
