Case Study: Formica Group improves management performance with UTrakk DMeS

Digitizing 120 years of first-line management experience

Formica Group, a leading manufacturer of high pressure laminate, faced a major management challenge at its St-Jean-sur-Richelieu factory: several experienced managers were nearing retirement, decision-making was slowing due to limited performance data, and administrative overload was keeping leaders out of the field. To address these issues, Formica turned to UTrakk and its UTrakk DMeS digital management ecosystem.

UTrakk implemented tools for digital site tours, performance monitoring, issue escalation, action-plan management, and coaching. The results included a 2% increase in machine OEE, 10% more hours dedicated to active performance management, over 500 action plans managed per year, and 19 digital site tours and audits. Formica also reported improved data accuracy, faster improvement cycles, and better integration of new managers.
