Global Internet Giant Bolsters Customer Data Security With Cyberedge’s c-Assurpeople User Behavior Analytics

World’s Largest Internet Company manages sensitive customer data in a proprietary account system and needed stronger protection against hard-to-detect user-based threats after a security incident exposed legitimate credentials. To improve visibility, the company turned to UST Global’s CyberEdge c-AssurPeople user behavior analytics alongside its existing Splunk environment, seeking a way to extract actionable intelligence from massive log volumes.

UST Global implemented c-AssurPeople on top of Splunk and Hadoop, adding machine-learning-based user profiling, anomaly detection, sessionization, and custom reports tailored to the customer’s environment. In a two-week pilot, the solution identified all known threats and uncovered additional suspicious scenarios; after full deployment, it enabled faster investigations, better daily visibility for the incident response team, and more proactive detection of risks that previously could have gone unnoticed.
