UserWay Transforms Accessibility For BlueSky School

BlueSky School, an online education provider for Minnesota students in grades 6-12, needed a better way to support accessibility across its Moodle-based learning platform as enrollment grew. The school wanted tools for screen reading, dyslexia support, improved contrast, and other accommodations without the time and cost of manually recoding its website, and it also wanted a solution that protected student privacy. UserWay offered the accessibility widget BlueSky was looking for.

UserWay implemented its AI-powered accessibility widget with screen reader, keyboard navigation, smart contrast, highlighted links, text resizing, and a dyslexia-friendly font, all with a simple one-line installation. The result was a more accessible student experience with no personal data tracking, about 83% of web pages fully accessible and compliant, and 12,703 issues remediated. BlueSky also reported better student feedback, including perfect accessibility ratings in course evaluations, showing that UserWay made a meaningful impact on learning access.
