How Sked Social Tripled Conversions with a Checklist

Sked Social, a platform for planning and scheduling Instagram posts, needed a better way to onboard new users and drive them to activation and paid plans. They worked with Userpilot and used Userpilot’s checklist onboarding element to guide first-time users through the key tasks required to get value from the product.

Userpilot implemented a simple four-task checklist that appears after sign-in (with a modal, progress bar, “endowed progress”, linked product tours/slideouts, and a congratulatory finish). By guiding users through adding an account, uploading media, and creating a first post, Sked Social increased activation: users who completed the checklist were over 3x more likely to convert to paying customers.
