How Getcraft saved weeks of dev time, and doubled their user activation rate with Segment and Userpilot

GetCraft, a Southeast Asian marketplace for freelance creatives, was losing users during a multi‑step registration and profile completion process — only about 20% of signups finished their profiles — and had limited development resources to fix it. The product team adopted Userpilot (integrated with their existing Segment setup) to build onboarding flows without engaging engineers, aiming to reduce drop‑offs and support requests.

Using the Segment integration and a single “App Token” snippet, GetCraft used Userpilot’s visual, code‑free builder to deploy welcome screens, interactive walkthroughs, tooltips, checklists and navigation hotspots. The two onboarding experiences saw 93% and 98% engagement with 72% and 96% goal completion, more than doubling profile completion from ~20% to over 40%, cutting onboarding support enquiries from ~20 to ~0, and saving weeks of developer time — all enabled by Userpilot.
