Canalta Hotels, part of Canalta Group in Western Canada, needed a reliable hotel business center solution for its growing chain of properties. Its existing Windows-based kiosk setup was difficult to manage, prone to problems, and lacked centralized control, while also creating high hardware, software, and support costs.

Canalta Hotels implemented Userful Desktop from Userful to provide a secure, easy-to-manage, pay-per-use business center. The solution enabled centralized web-based administration, remote updates, reliable printing, and tamper-proof public access, while saving about one-third on hardware and maintenance costs and reducing IT workload; the company also reported virtually no downtime and planned to expand Userful to the rest of its hotels.
