How a marketing automation platform helped a SaaS company better onboard their users and boost conversion

TimeCamp, a Poland-based SaaS time-tracking app, needed a way to better onboard trial users and nurture them toward paid plans. They required a single platform combining user behavior tracking, flexible automations, segmentation and in‑app/website popups, so they adopted User.com’s marketing automation platform to centralize user data and power onboarding and re‑engagement campaigns.

With User.com, TimeCamp launched a fully automated onboarding email sequence, targeted popups (including a feedback survey), behavior-based tagging/segmentation, and aggregators for deeper analysis (scoring is being implemented). The impact: demos scheduled rose by 25%; onboarding email open rate improved from 38% to 41% and CTR from 12% to 16% (over 10–14k emails per campaign); popup survey CTR hit 4.5% yielding 1,400 responses — boosting trial-to-client conversion and user engagement.
