Cummins Engine, a global power leader, faced a challenge in scheduling labor and machine resources months in advance during a corporate system change. They turned to vendor User Solutions and its product, Resource Manager for Excel, to find a stop-gap solution for detailed planning and scheduling.

The solution from User Solutions provided Cummins with a Bill-Of-Resource to schedule tools, labor, and machines, integrating data downloaded from their AS400 system. This allowed them to define load, select realistic customer promise dates, and generate master schedules with excellent visual graphing.
