A US Signal Case Study

Using colocation to manage medical records

Martin Health Services (MHS) is a long‑term care pharmaceutical provider serving more than 200 assisted living and residential facilities across Iowa. MHS relies on electronic medical records and web‑accessible medication systems (eMAR and Webconnect) to manage prescriptions and client access, but frequent carrier and power outages at its Denver data center interrupted operations and blocked timely order fulfillment. To solve this, MHS sought a colocation/data center partner and engaged US Signal for colocation services.

US Signal migrated MHS’s application servers and networking equipment into a carrier‑redundant, power‑redundant colocation environment, providing secure, 24/7 access to patient medication records and scalable rack space for future growth. As a result, US Signal eliminated the service‑outage interruptions that had halted operations, freed MHS IT staff from constant outage troubleshooting, and ensured continuous access across MHS’s three offices and the 200+ facilities it serves, improving delivery reliability and record‑keeping.
