Multi-business Manufacturing Enterprise Gets the RTO and RPO Required Within Budget

Multi Business Company, a U.S.-based multi-business enterprise with more than 30 offices and warehouses, needed a disaster recovery solution that delivered geographic diversity, met strict RPO/RTO targets, fit a tight budget, incorporated existing hardware (including VMware VMs and IBM iSeries), and freed internal IT from on-site data center and DR management. After an RFP process, the company engaged US Signal to design a DR strategy using its public cloud, Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) with continuous data protection, and colocation/network services.

US Signal implemented a tailored solution that hosts firewalls and Active Directory in the US Signal cloud, leverages Zerto-based continuous replication for ~260 VMs (landing on over 60 TB of storage), provides an IBM iSeries in the DR environment, and converges WANs via colocation with MPLS and burstable Internet connectivity. The result is full replicated recovery with an SLA capable of a 13‑second RPO, biannual DR tests, 24/7 monitoring, reduced on-site data center overhead, and freed IT resources; Multi Business Company has since purchased additional resources from US Signal.
