MEPCO Finance Corporation, an Independent Bank affiliate preparing a Chicago office move and an IT equipment refresh, faced rising IT costs and wanted to exit the on‑premises data center to adopt an OpEx Infrastructure-as-a-Service model while meeting PCI‑DSS and other regulatory requirements. MEPCO engaged US Signal to assess performance, security, and compliance needs and to design a compliant cloud and managed-services approach.

US Signal implemented a hybrid IaaS solution by migrating MEPCO’s entire production environment into a US Signal multi-tenant compliant dedicated resource pool and adding Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), Enterprise Backup as a Service (EBaaS), plus remote monitoring and management for patching and remediation. US Signal completed the migration a month ahead of the 120‑day target, delivered significant CapEx-to-OpEx cost savings, improved availability with geo‑redundant DR replication, freed MEPCO’s IT staff for other work, and provided contractual portability to phase in or change services without penalties.
