Improving System Reliability and Desktop Management

Regency Lighting, a national lighting distributor with 300 users across eight locations, was struggling with frequent server downtime, cumbersome online ordering and difficult desktop management that threatened expansion plans. To address these issues, Regency engaged US Signal for hosting and managed IT services, including virtualized and dedicated server hosting and Desktop as a Service (DaaS).

US Signal migrated Regency’s servers and desktop workloads into a secure, highly available cloud environment (including XenDesktop/XenApp-style DaaS), consolidated data into the vendor’s Tempe, Ariz. data center, and provided ongoing managed services. As a result, US Signal significantly increased system reliability and availability, boosted staff productivity and sales, enabled near‑instant provisioning of new users and devices, enhanced data security, and streamlined desktop and hardware management for Regency.
