Case Study: Coopers Brewery achieves resilient, enterprise Wi-Fi and uninterrupted AGV operations with US Signal

A US Signal Case Study

Preview of the Coopers Brewery Case Study

How this brewery was able to thrive using a Cisco Meraki solution

Coopers Brewery, a family-owned Australian brewer, faced the challenge of delivering resilient, secure wireless across a busy production floor and multiple branch sites so automated guided vehicles (AGVs), staff tablets, and distributed offices could stay connected without downtime. To address coverage gaps caused by rows of stacked beer and to modernize remote site connectivity, Coopers worked with US Signal to deploy enterprise-grade wireless and security solutions, including Cisco Meraki MR access points and MX security appliances.

US Signal implemented a Meraki-based solution—initially 12 MR16 APs, followed by an additional 38 MR APs and three MX appliances—to provide robust WiFi, site-to-site VPNs, guest network controls, and cloud-managed, preconfigured devices that come online instantly when plugged in. The deployment ensured AGV signal strength exceeded requirements, allowed seamless roaming for tablets across sites, enabled quick remote management via the Meraki dashboard, and brought new MX units online within minutes, helping Coopers maintain production schedules and reduce the risk of downtime.
