Case Study: Gila River Hotels & Casinos achieves reduced costs and stronger security with US Signal vCISO

A US Signal Case Study

Preview of the Gila River Hotels & Casinos Case Study

Gila River reduced spending and increased security with OneNeck’s vCISO offering

Gila River Hotels & Casinos, which operates three Arizona casinos, needed to strengthen protection for guests, infrastructure, data and revenue while meeting regulatory requirements. Lacking the internal resources and expertise to build and maintain a tailored security program, Gila River engaged US Signal for a virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) service to quickly address security gaps without the cost and delay of hiring a full‑time CISO.

US Signal implemented a custom vCISO engagement that leveraged existing PCI DSS and GLI assessments, performed organizational and technical gap analyses, defined a risk‑based security strategy, and delivered policies, roadmaps, vulnerability management, active breach detection and a security awareness program. The work produced significant cost savings by avoiding an additional headcount, improved confidentiality, integrity and availability of data, freed IT resources for other initiatives, and provided streamlined reporting and ongoing security improvements under US Signal’s guidance.
