Connected, LLC - Customer Case Study

Connected, LLC, a St. Louis–based hosted PBX provider, was experiencing frequent outages (single blade failures 1–3 times per week), slow data center responses, and week-long provisioning times because its services ran on non‑redundant blade servers and OpenVZ virtualization. To solve these issues, Connected, LLC engaged US Signal for Cloud Hosting, implementing VMware vSphere and vCloud Director along with Cloud Storage and network services.

US Signal replaced the blade/OpenVZ setup with a Dedicated Resource Pool on its vCloud platform, used VM template catalogs to cut new-customer deployment to about five minutes (from >1 week), added Cloud Storage for voicemail backups, and offered MPLS/VPN connectivity and proactive support. The result was a fully redundant, resilient environment with a significant reduction in outages, rapid scaling (additional compute/storage available in roughly four hours), faster turn-up times, and expanded service offerings delivered by US Signal.
