Christian Brothers Services - Customer Case Study

Christian Brothers Services (CBS), a nonprofit based in Romeoville, IL that provides health, retirement, insurance and technology services to church organizations, faced expiring data center leases and backup contracts and needed to consolidate and modernize IT. CBS sought to move from CapEx to OpEx, accommodate legacy IBM i Series systems, meet HIPAA and security requirements, free up a small IT staff, and ensure secure remote access — and selected US Signal to deliver the consolidated solution.

US Signal implemented a multi‑faceted program including Enterprise Cloud for x86 servers, Hosted Private Cloud for the IBM i Series, VMware Horizon VDI, EBaaS and DRaaS (Zerto-based), redundant MPLS WAN and Internet with Cloud‑Based Advanced Security+. The result: improved resilience and security, a predictable OpEx model, reduced operational overhead and faster IT responsiveness, HIPAA‑compliant infrastructure, and quick support for remote work; measured outcomes include RPOs below 20 seconds and an RTO of one hour for Zerto‑protected items, plus significantly reduced after‑hours IT workload.
