Court Enforcement Services, a newly formed civil enforcement and debt collection company, needed to quickly prove to clients, regulators, and prospects that it had strong quality and information security controls in place. To meet this challenge and support tender requirements, the company worked with URM and used Abriska, URM’s risk management tool, as part of its ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification journey.

URM helped Court Enforcement Services carry out an information risk assessment, build a risk register and treatment plan, and implement practical policies and controls such as acceptable use, awareness training, information classification, document management, clear desk, and encryption. The company achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification within just six months, won new business it could not previously bid for, and gained stronger customer reassurance, fewer mistakes, and fewer security incidents.
